Denied: A request for records about the installation of bed platforms at the State Correctional Institution-Greene, which the Department of Corrections said were not in its possession.
While the DOC did not, in its original reply to the requester, suggest another agency where records about the bed platforms and their manufacturer might be kept, in response to the Office of Open Records it noted that the state Department of General Services might have such records, and that the requester should direct a new request to the DGS.
The Office of Open Records, upon receipt of an affidavit from the DOC that the records did not exist in its files, said the agency had met its burden under the law, and denied the appeal.
