Granted: A request to the Bethlehem Area School District seeking certified unredacted payroll records of a third-party contractor. The contractor had provide the records with names and home addresses redacted.
The school district acknowledged that a previous Final Determination from the Office of Open Records established that names are not protected, and agreed to release the names.
As to the home addresses, the Office of Open Record ruled that the school district did not establish a valid legal basis for withholding home addresses of private employees, noting that clearly the Right to Know Law does not exempt the release of home addresses and that the school district did not establish that they are covered by a constitutional right to privacy.
